The Freedom Center
The historic Freedom Center serves as both a preservation site and a community gathering place dedicated to Oklahoma’s civil rights history.
The site houses exhibitions, archives, educational experiences, oral histories, and public programs designed to connect visitors to the stories that shaped Oklahoma City’s movement for equality and justice.

Clara Luper National SIT-IN PLAZA
Clara Luper National Sit-In Plaza commemorates the courage of Oklahoma City students and activists who participated in the historic sit-in movement.
Sponsored by our partners, the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma Inc. The Clara Luper National Sit-In Plaza serves as a public space for remembrance, education, and reflection while honoring the power of youth leadership and organized community action.

CLARA LUPER CIVIL RIGHTS CENTER
The Clara Luper Civil Rights Center will expand the Freedom Center’s mission through immersive exhibitions, educational resources, public programming, and civic engagement experiences.
The Center will create opportunities for visitors of all ages to explore civil rights history through storytelling, technology, archives, dialogue, and interactive learning.
